Kid Rock is the latest mainstream artist to reference his use of AI, explaining that he considers it just another tool in the box. The artist has explained how he used Suno to enhance sections of his album Halfway 2 Jesus, the Kid explained that he used AI to create a choir, and orchestral sounds. 

The album was recorded in Nashville with real musicians at the  Dixie Ridge Studios, but then went on to explain how AI then assisted using it as a collaborative tool.

On November 13th in Los Angeles the AI Music Awards will take place, obviously as an AI music company we fully support the whole concept of these awards.

However, it's been announced that AI Artists will perform live, which, whilst intriguing is also a bit unsettling, as it is potentially another stick to beat the AI music industry over the head with, because it will be seen by some as an effort to further legitimise the AI music revoloution.

One of AI musics harshest critics is Damon Albarn, Albarn is on record as calling AI music “laziness” dressed up as creativity, so what would he make of live AI Artist's performing live?

There has been no shortage of lawsuits against AI music generation companies, Suno seems to be the main target, however, as time has gone on some of these have changed shape from the original complaint or action.

Not surprisingly mainstream music companies can see the stranglehold theyve has over artists potentially eveaporate, as more artists see AI music generation as a tool for collaboration.

AI can dramatically cut costs, enhance product, anad potentially if used properly allow the artists to keep the rights to their work, without need for negotiations and complex contracts, which could end up being challenged in court as an artists popularity grows. Suno has taken another step closer to the mainstream music industry, as it strikes another deal with key players, it seems the battle is no longer about who can bring Suno down, but who can get closest to them.

The Mainstream Music Business is at war with AI services and creators, but now it seems the battle is becoming more open in the industry itself.

Now a war of words is being waged between top name artists and producers, and the latest shots have been fired by none other than DR Dre.

The response has been swift and pretty blunt, but is this genuine righteous indignation, or an underlying anger that Dre has let the cat out of the bag, and is exposing the tip of a music industry iceberg.
